Healing.

I have experienced many astounding examples of healing over a wide range of people, and have made some attempt to understand the various mechanisms that enable it to be.

The kind of healing that we are talking about here is not the healing that we experience in a medical way, but a kind of healing that encompasses the mind & the spiritual aspects of mankind, as well as the bodily aspects; A healing of the whole person - the whole 'self'.
In some cases the outcome can be similar to that experienced after medical treatment, but the mechanisms are totally different. In no way should we think of it as an alternative to medical treatment, but more so as running alongside it as a complement to that treatment; complementary therapy.
This is a short introduction to healing.

SO WHAT ABOUT THIS THING CALLED 'HEALING'?
There are many, many types of Healing all going under a different classifications & titles, according to whether they are ancient, modern or whatever. In reality many of the different classifications are very much the same thing, or use the same energy systems, but have many different names.

The type of healing that I use and will talk about is sometimes called 'HANDS ON', which it isn't really, because it is not necessary for the hands to touch the body. Some people still call this 'FAITH HEALING', again which it is not, because neither the healer or the patient are required to have any particular faith.  More accurately it is known as 'SPIRITUAL HEALING' because it can act upon the spiritual or emotional aspect.  This is not spiritualist healing, necessarily.
I simply call it NATURAL Healing, because it is totally natural, and an ability we all possess. We may not be aware of that fact, but it still is a latent ability within us all. It will also include what is known as 'absent healing' or more precisely 'distance healing', where healing may be sent over great distances to a remote patient. Healing is inter-denominational, and can be practised by anyone; Catholic, Jew, Christian, Buddhist, ETC., even an atheist.

Not all healing seems to be a success at first sight, but there are many factors affecting the outcome, and not all are understood by us. It is a subtle process, often not immediate, so we must have patience.
In this world of ours we are encouraged to expect dramatic events, dramatic outcomes and that sort of thing - we are always in a hurry.  But life was not intended to be that way as we changed, hour by hour, day to day, and with the seasons, year by year; a subtle process of change.  I have seen dramatic healings, but they are by no means the norm. Have patience, be positive.

WHAT IS HEALING ?
Healing is to make better;  to re-create the whole; healing is giving. Healing is a recreation of the balance that exists within our energy field. Healing is having compassion. Healing is Love for others and a genuine interest in a love and caring for one's fellow man/woman so helping them on their pathway through this physical reality.

A Healer is not allowed to claim to cure, nor to diagnose from symptoms; these things are reserved for the medical profession. Healing works on the Holistic Self - the MIND, BODY and SPIRITUAL/EMOTIONAL aspect to balance up all three, which will result in health. Most health problems are caused by an imbalance in the holistic system, very often through the influence of unresolved stress.  However it must be realised that a 'balance' is not necessarily a balance in equal measure, but whatever is appropriate in our given circumstances.

WHAT IS THE HEALER ?
The healer is a person who has trained themselves to act as a channel for the healing energy.  By an act of will and intention, the healer can transmit and exchange the energy to & with a person whose energy systems are depleted, for their benefit.
Healers are super-sensory. Healers are dedicated people. Healers have unconditional love for their fellow man, and they have compassion.

HOW DO THEY DO IT ?
Simply by wanting to.  There are no mysterious forces at play. There is no special requirement except that a person must have compassion for others. Particularly they must have the desire to heal, and the intention to heal. Naturally that is not all there is to it. A healer must be practised in not only giving the energies, but also in knowing how, where and when. A healer must be able to deal with sick people with care, consideration and safety There is a Code of Conduct that all healers must abide by for the well-being of their patient and also themselves. The code is strict, and its primary object is the safety of the public. Healers must operate within the Law. There is also a  Training programme that is accepted, and all healers must respond to, so that healers will have the same basic knowledge, skills and understanding of the healing act.
ALL HEALING IS NOT KNOWN TO BE HARMFUL, IT IS BENEFICIAL, & IT IS CALMING.
HEALERS DO NOT DIAGNOSE, THEY HEAL THE ENERGY SYSTEM. They are not concerned with symptoms - that is the province of the Doctor. HEALERS DO NOT CLAIM TO CURE.
ALL Spiritual HEALING IS COMPLEMENTARY, that is to say it is additional to any conventional medical treatment. It is NOT alternative.

THE MYSTERY OF HEALING.
The mystery of healing has evaporated in todays well-informed, high-tech world.  Even hard-headed scientists, particularly in the field of quantum physics realise that energies DO exist around us, that we ARE part of a greater system, that the energies of healing ARE unconditional love, and LIGHT plays a part previously unknown.  They also know that the energies of thought and the power of intention CAN affect someone or something far distant, and that the body as we think of it is a highly-evolved self-healing, multisensory, multi-dimensional creation.

There is no mystery. HEALING IS NATURAL, and effective.

The Mind, Body and Spirit.
Many times we hear these terms used today, especially with the crop of Mind Body and Spirit Fairs that are part of our leisure time activities. We can see it used for music tapes and CD's, and for books. So what do we really mean by these terms?
Let us look at these three in detail:

THE BODY.  The body is far more than just the muscles, flesh, bone, blood, etc that we see, and can identify with our five senses. It is an energy system.  Scientists call it the HEF, the Human Energy Field.  Its various components are electrostatic, magnetic, electromagnetic, sonic,  thermal and visual.

People are now waking up to the fact that we can perceive many things, that previously we had considered impossible. In fact we are a pulsating, dynamic energy field, not  isolated  but interacting with everything around us, and even at great distance (this is sometimes called non-local). We are not limited to our five senses, but are MULTI-SENSORY, MULTI-DIMENSIONAL beings.  The bit we see is that perceived by the five senses only - the mechanics of the thing, but there is a great deal more.  However it is a mistake to think that we should ingnore our five senses, and try and be more aligned to spiritual energies completely.  We have been given our senses to experience the world around us - the world of physicality, and that is exactly why we are here in the first place.

What is the MIND ?
Again, scientists are probing this area constantly, and realizing that the thing that we think with has a far greater dimension that we had previously given it credit for. It is not just the brain, it is a lot more, and has a far greater capacity than we realise - around 10X what we imagine. Scientists are unable to decide what actually IS the mind. The abilities of the mind are probably infinite.  There is also a school of thought that feels that the mind is separate from the body (exterior to it) and is an individual part of a mass consciousness. There is also the understanding that when we die, the mind lives on.
Many illnesses start from the mind.  Stress is a major factor in the cause of illness. Healers very often call it dis-ease - the body is not at ease with itself!  The recent experiments with placebo's are changing the way science looks at the mind and dis-ease, realising that if a person believes that they are getting better through some form of agency (many times this is the placebo), then they are doing so for a high percentage of the time.
When we realise that the American Government spent Millions of Dollars on a project called STARGATE, in which people (sitting quietly in their offices) were trained to perceive happenings sometimes thousands of miles away (called REMOTE VIEWING) to use in the Defence System, then we begin to realise that the MIND is not only very powerful, but very important, and it is easy to realise that it may affect the functioning of the body quite easily. We are what we think.

And the SPIRIT - what is that?
It is that aspect of a person that is neither the mind or the body, that vibrates at frequencies much higher than the physical form, and is basically light - a tiny spark of light. It is considered that the Prime Creator (that which we call God) which is pure Light, multiplied Himself out into billions of tiny sparks of light (our consciousness), connected to Source, so that He, Himself, could experience every facet of that quality called Life, and that each of our experiences and the wisdom that ensues is shared by and connected to that Prime Creator - the Source, otherwise known as All That Is.  It is possible that  energy in the form of what we can call LIFE FORCE, is used by our spiritual essence to enable the mind and the body to exist and LIVE. This Life Force will be found to be the energy of Healing, and is basically the same light, even though we cannot normally see it. Other names for this Life Force are such as Universal Energy, Free Energy or Zero Point Energy (ZPE).
The various cultures around the world use different names for Life Force, for example; PRANA in India, CH'I in China, KI in Japan, etc, etc...and sometimes called 'UNIVERSAL ENERGY'.  This knowledge has been known since time immemorial. It is that sea of energy, ever-moving that constantly surrounds us, fills all of available (what we call) space, is the basic building blocks of all matter, atoms and molecules, and is the substance of thought. Although many scientists are not aware of the fact, it is nevertheless forming the basis of current areas of exploration of 'connectedness' in the new physics, the relativity/quantum physics of today.

The spiritual aspect of a person transmits all experiences to the memory banks of the SOUL as feelings or emotions, where they are stored for all time - hence the term spiritual OR emotional aspect.  The soul again is a light-principle.  If 'energy' is a difficult concept to grasp, then think of it as feelings and emotions.
Sometimes people refer to that electromagnetic field around the body (the Auric Field) as the spiritual aspect, and particularly the interaction with others and things around us. It is a common thing to talk of liking (or disliking) someone's VIBES today, or perhaps thinking about a friend, and the telephone rings. Who is on the line ? The friend of course! We can tell when someone is staring at us, and we look to see who it is. These things were once peripheral, but today there is a new consciousness - new sensitivities, a new world and a new understanding.  These things are all part of that ever-changing dynamic energy field that permeates and surrounds us....part of our spiritual self. Some call it the 'psyche'. All that and much more. Once it was considered to be abnormal to be psychic - now society is beginning to realise that it is perfectly normal, and has been an innate part of humankind since the beginning of its time.

In the highest form of Spiritual development, to which we all are striving to achieve, the separate aspects of Mental, Emotional and Spiritual all fuse into one light body - residing within the material, physical Body; Truly an Holistic Being.  In that state we are aware of other dimensions, other realities, other aspects of that vast & powerful consciousness that is us, the universal consciousness and our past, present and future in the moment of NOW.
